Secret Teammate

THE IDEA:

When you were a kid, did you ever dream about being a detective? Well, now you can live out the dream, at work!

Members of your team will secretly be assigned to a fellow teammate. The goal is to to learn a variety of fun facts about them without them figuring out what you're doing. If someone is called out as being a "spy", they are eliminated from the game. Whoever compiles the most facts before getting caught wins!

HOW-TO:

  1. Pair up each of your teammates with someone they will "spy" on. You can be tactical about who you choose, or just do it by random.
  2. Explain the rules of the game to your team. Emphasize that this game is meant to be completely friendly, but a little competitive (especially if your team tends to be competitive).
  3. Send your team resources for asking good icebreaker questions. I know of a good list here.
  4. Have everyone record what they learn about someone on their own (honor system here).
  5. Figure out something cool to reward the winner with!
